Important Helps and Suggestions:

• You will need a pair of cutter pliers and a pair of needle nose or flat nose pliers. I prefer to use bent needle nose pliers.
• You will also need a ruler and hot glue gun (for the star)
• Be sure to tighten the wire of each round as tightly as possible or you will wind up with a tree that leans to one side or that doesn't stand properly.
• I use paper plates to keep my beads separated and to put my different pin sequences onto.
• Always check your row carefully before closing the wire. If you find an error after you've closed your wire it is almost impossible to untwist the wire without it breaking.
• Don't forget to tuck your light plug in between 2 pins before you close the last row. This allows your tree to sit anywhere without sitting on the wire.
• If you feel comfortable working with your tree with the lights dangling from it try attaching the lights from the inside of the tree on each row as you go, with a small piece of wire. Be sure not to twist this wire tightly or you might cut the light cord. This will make it easier to have evenly distributed lights on your finished safety pin Christmas tree.
• Put your tree into a plastic bag at the end of the season to keep dust and dirt off of your tree so that it looks brand new year after year.
